Who can join
VFW eligibility
You can join the VFW if you served honorably, or are serving now, in the U.S. Armed Forces in a war, campaign or expedition on foreign soil or in hostile waters. VFW National accepts any of these as proof:
- An authorized campaign or expeditionary medal, ribbon or badge
- Receipt of Hostile Fire Pay or Imminent Danger Pay
- Service of 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive days in Korea
Your DD 214 or service record usually shows this. If you need a copy, the National Archives can help: request your records.
Joining Post 400
Annual dues listed for Post 400 by VFW National: $30 per year.
The easiest way to join is to call or email the Commander, or come to a monthly meeting on the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM. You can also apply online through VFW National and ask to be assigned to Post 400.
Families
The VFW Auxiliary
Spouses, parents, children, siblings and grandparents of VFW eligible veterans can join the VFW Auxiliary, which supports veterans and service members nationwide.
Whether Post 400 has an active Auxiliary unit right now is still being confirmed. To be confirmed
